We’re delighted to welcome Cindy Jonas, a chartered construction manager, to take up the role as Project Manager for the low carbon hydrogen production facility we’ll be building in Bradford. This flagship hydrogen project was the biggest successful scheme selected to progress as part of the government’s Hydrogen Production Business Model, first Hydrogen Allocation Round, announced in December.
Cindy brings with her a huge amount of energy and enthusiasm and a wealth of experience. Originating from Belgium and speaking French, English and in her words ‘average’ Dutch, Cindy is an accomplished and committed project and construction manager.
Having obtained a management qualification, Cindy started her career in the construction sector for a Belgian company over 25 years ago, before progressing her career in the UK.
Cindy’s extensive project portfolio includes the new Tyne Tunnel in Newcastle, the construction of new health centres in Northumberland and numerous High Pressure gas projects, including connections and the diversion of high pressure gas pipelines.
Demonstrating a commitment to continuous development, Cindy has a NVQ Level 7 in Senior Construction Management and is an active member of both The Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB)
Cindy said “I’m excited to be starting my new role, having found my natural home within the utilities industry in recent years . It is an honour to demonstrate the strong skills I’ve acquired in managing and delivering complex projects, to deliver one of the UK’s biggest hydrogen production facilities in Bradford. I’m passionate about green energy and renewables so thrilled to couple this interest with my knowledge and experience and be able to make a positive impact towards our Net Zero commitment.”
